チェンソーマンを探すために勝手の判らぬ人間社会に適応せねばならないことから、アサの身体意識の全てを乗っ取ることをせず、アサの脳の半分を残すことで共存状態をとっている。高圧的で傍若無人だが、脅しの通じないアサの難儀な性格やお人好しぶりに頭を抱えたり、アサの意識誘導に引っかかったりと、どこか人間臭い部分がある。
初めて自分を一人の人間として扱ってくれた経緯からマキマに好意を持っており、公安で任務を続け、彼女に認められることを第一目標とする。その後、マキマの企みにより「チェンソーマン」に変身して暴走してしまうが、ポチタとパワーの助力によりデンジとしての姿を取り戻し、再びマキマと対峙。ポチタとの連携で勝利する。マキマへの好意は最後まで変わることはなかったが、マキマの所業によって命を落とした者たちへのけじめとして、彼女を攻撃としてではなく愛ゆえの行為で完全に殺すために、肉体を食して一つになることで罪を共に背負うことを選ぶ。
